We are a charity that has its roots in homelessness, we are a group of people with over 50 years of experience supporting people.

We felt that something more needed to be done to help people, at the point they needed it, instead of when they reached crisis.  

A core part of what we wanted to do was to help people in food poverty, we also wanted to fight food surplus.  So we started The Living Room.

Our founder Mel Groves and the charity Ethos, wanted to create a space where people could access support and signposting for a range of issues from housing advice, money matters and wellbeing.
